You get the point. Meditation is a crucial ingredient for a successful and happy life! The bonus is Plus if you have the question “how do I tap into my intuition and access these gifts of mine?” The answer is meditation my friend, meditation. Honestly, you won’t make significant progress in your development without it!
So without further adieu here are four meditation tips for busy people
You can use your workout, your run, or your daily walk as a meditation! A common misconception is that you have to be cross-legged on a pillow to meditate, but this is not the truth!
All you need to do is find some time to give yourself a mental break! It can be something like walking to give your mind just enough of something to do so that you can make space for your inner wisdom to shine through!
Running is a beautiful way to meditate and visualize (this will also strengthen clairvoyance and third-eye!) Use this time to see your goals in front of you and you running towards them! See the people you love in the stands cheering you on and when you hit your stopping point see yourself joyfully celebrating!
I use this meditation often when I have a big goal in mind and guess what? It WORKS!
Mindfulness can literally be done anywhere – at any time and can take as little or as much time as you want it too!
Here is an excellent excerpt from MindBodyGreen on how to practice mindfulness!
Mindfulness; being present in each moment, aware of yourself, your feelings and your surroundings, rather than consumed by the past or anxious about the future, brings with it the ability to remain calm and grateful in challenging situations. Focussing on the here and now, the abundance of each and every moment will open up your eyes, mind and spirit to the inspired beauty of each breath.
In addition to this, you can practice mindfulness throughout your day by:
Feeling your body resting in your chair
Focusing on your breath
Becoming aware of your body, how you’re feeling and then extending that awareness out and around you.
The point is mindfulness can be done any day at any time!
Use affirmations to reprogram your thoughts and conscious belief systems! Affirmations are great for people who “can’t sit still long enough to meditate” (Stick with me, and we will get ya there, don’t you worry).
Find time while you’re driving, in front of the mirror, walking the dogs, chasing the kids, or whatever it is that you do to say 10-15 affirmations over and over in your head or aloud!
I love to use this new app that allows you to record your own voice saying affirmations. You can make up or choose from their vast library and then hit record! Just pop your headphones in and listen as you go about your day!
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again! Do a shower meditation!
Surely you shower at some point in the day, right? I hope so? At least once a week? Listen that is none of my business, but if you do shower then you have the perfect opportunity to get in a fabulous meditation!
Below is the shower meditation I’ve been doing for years:
Take a few deep breaths in and out
Get grounded and connected
Open your chakras (If you want to I don’t always do this)
Visualize the water as golden rain coming down and cleaning and healing all layers of your body, mind, and soul.
Visualize gunk, debris, illness or old energies flowing down the drain.
When you get toward the end see the water turning all different colors raining through and around you raising your vibe and protecting your energy!
If you feel so inclined, this is also a great time to ask if your spirit team or higher self have any messages for you!
Saying you don’t have time to meditate is saying you don’t have time for yourself. Saying you don’t have time for yourself is telling your subconscious you are not valuable enough to have space for yourself and that isn’t true!
To make space, you could:
Adjust your routine so that you can find a minimum of 20 minutes per day for yourself! Maybe it’s waking up earlier (I am not a morning person but wake up between 5:00-5:30 for this reason)
Go to your car and put some sunglasses one and pop some earphone in on your lunch break.
Stop at a park before you pick up the kids in the evening.
There is no excuse not to invest your time and energy into yourself. An empty cup cannot fill another. Remember you are stuck with you for the rest of your life! Invest in yourself, love yourself, and create space for yourself!
